Etsy love: Tush Tush

I was trolling through all my saved favorite Etsy sellers lately and rediscovered Tush Tush.  If I could pick one talent that I absolutely do not have and bestow it upon myself I think I'd choose to be able to paint like this.  (Or play the violin... but that one I may still be able to tackle in this life).

Relevant Art

I love having art in my home, but I find I have a hard time finding art that is relevant to home life.  I'm a fan of images that calm and that idealize domesticity.... seems appropriate for a domestic setting to me.  More appropriate than war heroes or even still lives.  While my ideal is always to have an original, here are a  few I wouldn't mind a high quality print or reproduction of.  (I think I must have been hungry when choosing these.... most of these people are eating.)

little art by little artists

Ok, so actually I have to share one thing amidst my non-posting.  I think this is a brilliant and space-effective way to share/keep/remember kids art.  I have a child who can churn out 30 pictures in an hour, so that's important to me!

Marry go Round

Everybody loves Snippet and Ink.
Who needs a wedding in their future to appreciate the artistry of the inspiration board?
This is my favorite yet.

Geneartogy

With my recent inclination to love all things geneology-chart-ish, the new Geneartogy charts featured on Design Mom were the bees knees to me.

Tom Palumbo

I've been just dying over the photostream for fashion photographer Tom Palumbo. His fashion spreads from the 50's and 60's are just about the most fun your eyes can have.

Dear mysterious wealthy benefactor,
Should you ever choose to exist, and to furnish for me a whimsical room, please include this clock.
That is all.

pockets for plants

I love the idea of planters that make use of vertical space. (And don't require horizontal space, because all of mine is either cluttered with stuff we don't want the toddler to reach, or within the toddler's reach) These by Maruja Fuentes are ingenious. (Via housemartin)

Art Projects for Kids

As a mom who both wants to instill a creative streak in her kids and keep her sanity, I'm loving the ideas at Art Projects for Kids. It's like a never ending art-curriculum so that your kids can be creative even if you don't have an endless supply of creativity yourself.
